- Download CloudApp to your Mac. Then navigate to your computer’s Menu Bar and click the CloudApp icon to start using the tool. A drop-down menu will appear.
- Select “Record” from the list of content types at the top of the drop-down menu. Next, choose the area of your screen that you want to record. Or simply click once to capture the full screen for your video. A menu with recording options will appear.
- The recording options menu will allow you to adjust the amount of screen you want to capture, enable webcam recording, and start and stop your video. When you’re ready to record, click the green “Start” button.
- To stop recording, click the red “Finish” button. Your video will automatically be saved to your private CloudApp library. Click the CloudApp icon again in your computer’s Menu Bar to access the piece of content that you just created. From here, you can edit, send, or delete your video by hovering over it and selecting the desired option.
For Windows Users:
- Download CloudApp to your Windows PC. Then navigate to your computer’s Quick Launch Icon Tray and click the CloudApp icon to start using the tool. A pop-up menu will appear.
- Select “Record” from the list of content types available in the pop-up menu. Next, choose the area of your screen that you want to record. Or simply click once to capture the full screen for your video. A menu with recording options will appear.
- The recording options menu will allow you to adjust the amount of screen you want to capture, enable webcam recording, and start and stop your video. When you’re ready to record, click the green “Start” button.

- Download CloudApp to your Mac if you haven’t already. Then head over to your computer’s Menu Bar and click the CloudApp icon. A drop-down menu will appear.
- Select “Annotate” from the list of content types at the top of the drop-down menu. You’ll then be asked to select the area of your screen that you want to capture in a screenshot. If you wish to annotate a pre-existing image, simply upload it to your CloudApp library, hover over it, and select “Annotate” from the list of options.
- Once your image is created and/or selected in CloudApp, an annotation menu will appear. Choose from a list of annotations on the left-hand side of your screen.
