Christine Yen, Founder and CPO at Honeycomb.io, ships quality code faster by using CloudApp’s screen capture and annotation tools when reviewing and writing code with her team.
Improve documentation with visuals
Quickly create clear documentation with annotated screenshots and screen recordings. Show how to properly implement your code. Don't waste time describing code conventions: communicate language and form using visuals.
Organize files into Collections
After your content is automatically saved to your CloudApp account, you can use our Collections feature to organize your most important content, keep it accessible from your menu bar or taskbar, and instantly share with a colleague or customer. You can also control the type of access others have to your content links.
Speed up debugging and QA
Skip the hassle of opening pull requests, downloading code, and running applications locally to figure out what went wrong. Create a GIF or screen recording to capture a bug - no need to explain through confusing messages or calls. Embed annotated screenshots and GIFs directly into a pull request, or on Slack, GitHub, Jira, or however your team communicates.
Increase security with CloudApp privacy
Control who sees your content by adding a password or having the link expire depending on time or number of views. Click “settings” next to your content. Specify who should see your link, how long the link should last, or add a password and then paste your link into any browser or application. AWS storage integration lets you store your content on personal servers. Plus, utilize IP restriction & Access Logs, user Provisioning and deprovisioning through authentication provider, and group level management. Ask us about enabling SAML/SSO if your company uses OneLogin, Google Apps, or OKTA.
Leveraging CloudApp in our GitHub pull requests and during conversations with our Engineering team saves us about 50 minutes every day!
