To start harnessing the power of CloudApp screenshot capture tool:
Download CloudApp and click on the CloudApp icon. Select the option to screenshot then click and drag the area which you want to screenshot. Release your hold on the mouse to take the screenshot. You will be given an option to annotate immediately after the screenshot is taken. You will find the screenshot in your CloudApp Drops.
Press the power key and the volume down key at the same time. After the screenshot is taken you will be given a preview and an option to edit. You are allowed to annotate, crop, or share the image.
Press Shift + Command + 4. You would then drag the crosshair to select what part of your screen you want to capture. To take the screenshot release your mouse or touchpad. To edit the screenshot click the thumbnail of the image in the corner of your screen.

The best way on Windows is to use the print screen button. The print screen button (PrtSc) is located on the top right corner of your keyboard. Just press the Windows button on your keyboard while holding down the print screen button.
To select which part of your screen, press Windows + Shift + S. This opens the snip and sketch tool. After pressing the hotkeys your screen will darken and a menu will appear where you can select which type of screenshot you want.
