The Essential Screenshot Tool for Mac

CloudApp makes the process of copying, pasting and sharing a screenshot on mac simple. Once a screenshot has been captured, anyone can share screenshots, GIFs, and images with the drag and drop feature.

So before you reach for Command + Shift + 4, consider a mac screenshot tool equivalent that not only streamlines screenshot pasting by shaving minutes off of the process, but also stores your screenshots for easy sharing in the cloud.

Copy and Paste Screenshots on a Apple Mac Desktop

Capturing screenshots on your desktop is a faster and more efficient form of communication than typing out lengthy emails to get your point across. Complex details can also be made simple by sharing visuals to showcase key points and get feedback from others. You just need the best snipping tool for mac.

CloudApp allows Mac users to capture, copy and paste anything on their screen in high quality formats, including annotated screenshots, GIFs, and even HD video, producing content which lives on a secure URL link, is infinitely shareable, and collaborative.

Pasting Screenshots in an Email Simplified

With the Mac operating system, anyone with an Apple laptop or desktop can hit command + shift + 4 and capture a screenshot to their desktop. While this feature has always been native to macOS, it is a bit antiquated. Once a user creates a capture, the content is stored to their desktop. In order to do something with it, such as share it via email, several extra steps are required to get the job done. The same process is even required with Snagit for Mac.

With CloudApp’s screenshot app, this whole process is simplified and everything lives in the Mac Menu Bar, making accessing the files and sharing them more efficient.

To paste screenshots into an email, you simply click on the CloudApp icon in the top right status bar, click on the file, and drag it in your email client. Check out how easy this is in the GIF to your left.

Other Screen Capture Tools Don’t Stand A Chance

As you learned above, the right screen recorder software can do so much more for you and your business than simply save a screenshot to your computer. That’s the way of the past, yet companies such as Techsmith, claiming to be top-of-class screen capture software, require downloading and installing 3 of their tools (Snagit, Jing, Screencast) to have all the features that CloudApp comes with in the all-in-one native app. Other tools including Vidyard or Wistia, simply miss out on valuable workflow collaboration tools, analytics to help you grow your business and customization capabilities. Others such as Loom, Soapbox or GoVideo, are limited to Chrome Extensions and serve no further business function or value beyond of a quick video or a screenshot.‍

CloudApp also serves as more than just a DropBox type file storage center. It also won’t cost your five times the amount of money for half the features like a Vidyard or a Droplr that provides little to no creative functions. With CloudApp you can let your creativity flow with video annotation or dual screen and webcam recording.
