While Google Docs is extremely similar to Microsoft Word, one of the differences between the two is that you can go back to previous versions of your document on Google Docs. This innovative feature allows you to open a previous version to view past edits and wording that you used in a document. For example, in case your work gets deleted on accident or on purpose, you can always go back to a previous version of the document to retrieve that work. There is no need to stress or freak out because there is an extremely easy way to recover a previous document version.

How to Undo Edits on Google Docs

  1. Open the Google Doc you want to Undo Edits on
  2. Go to File and then Version History -- See version history

  1. Click on different version on the right sidebar and find which version you want to restore

Told ya! It’s extremely easy to restore any version of your document. In case your work gets deleted somehow, you can simply restore or copy the version you would like to work on.
