Sometimes we all need something to cheer us up. But, have you considered something to cheer your pet up? People with pets love to have a quick jam session with their furry friends to lighten up the mood. Just this past January, Spotify revealed a feature all you pet-lovers will scurry towards. They created an algorithmically generated playlist to enjoy with any of your pets.

Pets love music and so do you. In a worldwide study done by Spotify, 71% of users said they play music for their pets and 80% said that they believe that their pets like the music their caretakers play for them. However, only 50% of users said that they share the same music taste as their pets.

In a few simple steps, you can create a personalized playlist for your pet. As demoed in our How to Use the Internet Series: How to Create a Spotify Playlist for your Pet, here is your step by step process to creating a playlist that your pet will love.

How to Create a Spotify Playlist for your Pet

  1. Head over to Pet Playlists and click “Let’s Go”
  1. Pick your Pet. You have a selection from Iguana, Cat, Dog, Bird, and Hamster.

  1. Select whether your pet is “Relaxed or Energetic”, “Shy or Friendly”, “Apathetic or Curious”
  2. Upload a picture of your pet and type it’s name

  1. Spotify will generate your custom playlist. You can either click “Listen Now” or share with your friends.

Spotify is a great way to connect with friends and listen to your favorite music, but it is an even more innovative platform when it comes to music for your pets. Want to learn more?
