Today, Slack is among the most used communication apps. Its easy-to-use features, such as shared channels, video calls, and integrated file sharing, entice companies to choose it as their main internal communication tool.

Additionally, with Slack desktop alerts, users are always informed about chats that need their attention. While this is a very useful feature, sometimes getting too many notifications can distract employees from working.

How to Snooze Notifications on Slack

If you need to concentrate on your work projects, it will be in your best interest to temporarily snooze your notifications. Here’s how you can do it:

  • In the upper-left corner, click the bell icon and pause notifications for a specific amount of time. When you turn on the Do Not Disturb (DND) Mode, other users will see the DND emoji 😴 next to your name.

  • Once you resume your notifications, you will be able to review everything you received while in DND.

At CloudApp, we are committed to helping you be your most productive self and get things done faster and easier. Check out our How to Use The Internet Series to learn how to order groceries online, secure your Google account, add a signature to Gmail, etc.
